You Call This News…Who Cares?

As I watched what the major news networks have been reporting, some of the stories has me asking myself, “who cares?” Some of the topics I questioned:

Michael Jackson’s drug use. The man is deceased - who cares?

Sarah Palin stepping down as governor. She quit like many of us do we when want to leave our jobs  – who cares?

Governor Sanford of South Carolina. He admitted to cheating on his wife…and admitted again…and again…we know he is a cheater - who cares?

Roland Burris not running for the Senate in 2010. No one took him seriously anyway – who cares?

The US Military wants to ban smoking. Not sure how that affects civilians or national security…make nicotine patches standard issue - who cares?

General Motors (GM) emerges from bankruptcy and promises to make a better vehicle. Talk is cheap…well not for them but anyway – who cares?

Com’on, is this really ”new information that we’re following”?  I watch alot of CNN but even when I surf to the other networks it’s the same stuff.  Maybe I should go back to watching more local news.
