Redskins – Offensively Challenged

09/20/2009 David Jones

I love the Redskins…I really do but I can’t help but wonder, what the heck is going on?  It’s only been 2 games so far this season and I already wonder how well they will compete, especially in the brutal NFC East division.Rams Redskins Football

The Washington Reskins defeated the St. Louis Rams 9 -7.  From http://www.ESPN.COM : The Redskins won scoring fewer than 10 points in a game for the first time since Week 1 of the 2005 season.  Shaun Swisham accounted for all of Washington’s points with three field goals — all from less than 28 yards.  The Redskins dominated time of possession, holding the ball for 34:53 after having for the ball for just 23:52 in Week 1.

Jason Campbell had a much better game, numbers wise, and orchestrated some very good drives so I will get off his case.  Clinton Portis ran for 79 yards off of 19 carries.  If the Skins tallied 362 total yards, can anyone explain how they could not get one touch down against the Rams?  I repeat…the Rams.

There are Redskins fans on Twitter who are calling Jim Zorn out and I don’t mean an invite to the #twitnic.  Coach Zorn is going to have to turn things around and soon.
