255 Days

It all started on November 15, 2008, what was I thinking? 

I remember working on my financial budget and calculating my “frivolous spending”.   I knew what I needed to do, I had to make the tough choice…this was my moment of truth.  I agonized frequently over this, yet I summoned every ounce of courage within me and sealed my fate.  Folks, I gave up Starbucks Coffee.

So, on November 15, 2008, I walked away from my caffeine addiction.  The caffeine that sustained me through 18 hour days, the caffeine that sustained me through tedious project meetings (even the ones that were my meetings), the caffeine that for better or for worse kept me from losing consciousness during moments of sleep deprivation.  Yes, after a 2 to 3 cup (specifically the Venti Americano) a day habit, I walked away.

Today, 255 days later, I still have not had a cup of Starbucks coffee. 

Now, I wonder if I can walk away from Twitter.
